Adoptive Parent Education and Training

adoptive parent education training

Integrity Home Studies requires each adoptive parent to complete Phase 1 of the Families Are Forever (FAF) educational training program, specially designed and proven to prepare you to be the best adoptive parent(s) you can be. Additional FAF classes may be added to your training program, based on your family’s individual needs. We have chosen this program because it is accredited, interactive, and based on Trust-Based Relational Intervention. It also meets all Hague requirements for international adoptions. This program will prepare you for the journey of adoption, introduce you to Trust-Based Relational Interventions, cover the special issues involved with adopting children from other countries and races, provide education in child development, and common medical conditions, and give you the tools necessary to do the hard work of bonding and attachment. Integrity Home Study social workers may also recommend further reading and training as they see needs arise.

Payment for the FAF program is done directly through the FAF website. You will receive access to your classes after you have gone through the payment process. Upon completion of your FAF Adoptive Parent Education, please submit your class certificates to Integrity Home Studies.
