Integrity Home Studies’ staff will work with your family to complete a home study evaluation. The home study process allows us to provide an evaluation and recommendation for you to be certified as adoptive parents in the state of Oregon.
PERSONAL INTERVIEWS
An agency staff social worker will conduct personal interviews with your family. These interviews will:
Happen over the course of one to three visits, and will include at least one visit in your home, after you have completed the requested paperwork and required adoptive parent education.
Include at least one individual interview with each member of your family’s household, age five or older.
Include at least one joint interview with both parents, if the adoptive family is a couple.
Include phone interviews, to be determined by the social worker.
Our social workers can do home studies throughout the state of Oregon, however travel costs are billed as an additional fee to you, as the applicant/s.

Domestic Adoption
Adoptions facilitated in the United States require an adoption home study. After your home study is approved and completed, Integrity Home Studies will provide multiple copies of a notarized home study, with supporting licenses, to applicants to forward to their adoption placing agency or attorney.

International Adoption
Integrity Home Studies’ staff have extensive experience working with various countries through the adoption process. We understand the need to work collectively with placing agencies to provide specific documentation to be received in overseas courts. We are able to work within tight timelines and with changes in requests after a home study is completed. We will work to make the home study and supporting documentation a smooth process with flexibility to adjust to sudden country changes.
Some countries that are part of the Hague Convention require a more detailed report, we will provide reports with the extensive details requested.
Note: The State of Oregon considers the home study report to be a pre-adoption screening tool. Therefore, acceptance of application and fees for a home study by Integrity Home Studies does not assure a positive home study report or recommendation. Nor does it ensure that the home study recommendation will align with the adoptive applicants’ desires, relating to the total number of children or the adoptive child(ren)’s gender or age range.
